Said Benrahma gave the Hammers an early lead with a stunning strike from outside the area, and Michail Antonio doubled their advantage just before the break.

However, Villa rallied in the second half, and Duran pulled a goal back in the 66th minute. Leon Bailey's cross was deflected into the path of Duran, who slotted home from close range.

The visitors continued to press for an equalizer, and they were rewarded in the 81st minute when Boubacar Kamara's shot deflected off Villa defender Ezri Konsa and into the net.
