Severe Thunderstorm Warning for St. Petersburg and Tampa
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for St. Petersburg and Tampa. Parts of Pinellas County, including St. Petersburg, are included in the warning. The warning is in effect until 10:00 PM EDT.
Peak Heating Hours
While organized severe weather is not anticipated locally, strong to severe thunderstorms cannot be ruled out during the peak heating hours of the day. These thunderstorms could produce heavy rainfall, lightning, and gusty winds.
